Ballard / Shilshole Parking

One of the biggest perks of sailing from Ballard is the easy and free parking.

Parking is located right near the large Leif Erikson statue at Shilshole Bay Marina. You can also search "Leif Erikson Statue Shilshole" on Google Maps to help find the correct parking area.

Any parking spots that are not marked “Permit Only” are free to use.

We still recommend arriving about 20–30 minutes early to give yourself time to park, walk to the boat, and check in.

The marina is just minutes from Golden Gardens Park and is a perfect option for locals looking to skip downtown traffic and parking garages.
