Seattle’s Original Sunset Sail Est. 1984
End the day on the water with a sunset sail departing from Downtown Seattle or Ballard. Downtown sails feature sunset colors reflecting off the skyline and water, while Ballard sails offer open views of the sun dropping behind Olympic National Park and Bainbridge Island.
Seattle’s classic evening sail
Our sunset sails take place aboard 70ft retired ocean racing sailboats and are part of Seattle’s longest running sailboat cruise operation, sailing since 1984. It is one of the best times of day to get out on the water, with softer light, calmer energy, and a more memorable atmosphere than a standard daytime cruise. Each sail follows a slightly different route depending on the wind, with the exact path up to the captain.

A relaxed sunset experience on the water
This is not a loud party cruise or a formal narrated tour. It is a laid-back sailing experience centered around the boat, the views, and the feel of being on the water at the best time of day. Our crew are always happy to chat, answer questions, and help make the trip feel easy and personal.
All sunset sails are BYOB, so you are welcome to bring drinks or light snacks for the trip. The route is not fixed — it changes each trip based on conditions, making every sail a little different.
